Introducing ARC-4

The ARC-4 Story:

The ARC-4, launching February 4th, 2026.

This is our first carbon-plated hybrid running shoe, designed for performance across running and hybrid training and racing. It's engineered to deliver speed for running whilst providing the stability required for hybrid movements.

The ARC-4 Elite Race launches in two colourways: Flat White Jet Black, and Jet Black.

Each colourway maintains the same technical specifications whilst offering aesthetic variety for different preferences and race day kits.

The Evolution of 247 Performance Footwear

The ARC-4 represents the latest evolution in our ARC performance footwear collection. We entered the market in January 2025 with the ARC-1 Runner and ARC-2 Trainer, establishing our foundation in performance footwear.

The ARC-4 is built for TEAM 247 athletes, from HYROX competitors like Jake Dearden, James Kelly, Michael Sandbach and Gabby Moriarty and ultrarunners Will Goodge, Hercules Nicolaou and runner Alfie Manthorpe.

What makes the ARC-4

Upper: High Tensile Strength

The upper construction focuses on durability and visibility. We've engineered reinforced clear line TPU skin overlays that provide structure where it's needed most, with reflective elements integrated throughout for low-light running conditions. The design balances breathability with support, ensuring the shoe performs whether you're pushing pace on a tempo run or transitioning between movements in a hybrid race.

Midsole: 247 Foam+

Flanking the carbon progression plate, the midsole comprises supercritical foam, an advanced material that forms lightweight and responsive layers. The specifications tell the story: 0.12g/cm³ density makes it exceptionally light, 41 +/-3 Asker C softness delivers comfort without sacrificing responsiveness, and 65% rebound ensures energy return with every stride. This is supercritical foam engineered specifically for the demands of both distance running and explosive hybrid movements. Combined with the carbon progression plate, this foam gives the ARC-4 speed, responsiveness and structure in a way that works across disciplines, helping runners maintain pace with less fatigue.

Carbon Progression Plate

The heart of the ARC-4 is its carbon progression plate, constructed from Pebax PA12 polyamide 12 combined with carbon. Carbon is lightweight and stiff, whilst Pebax has a high energy return and elasticity. These materials blended together ensure a plate which has a high energy return during the drive-off, push-off, and take-off phase.

Traditional running shoes are designed almost exclusively for forward motion. The ARC-4's carbon plate is engineered differently. Yes, it supports propulsion when running, but it also provides stability under load and lateral movement. This makes it far more versatile for athletes who don't just run but train across multiple disciplines. With the rise of fitness competitions such as HYROX, people are looking for footwear that excels both their running and functional exercise performance, something that a lot of traditional running shoes don't do due to the instability of regular carbon-plated shoes. The ARC-4 delivers the propulsion and efficiency you want for running whilst still offering the stability and control needed for functional exercises

Outsole: Maximum Abrasion Resistance

The tread uses 100% rubber with an abrasion maximum of 50mm³, ensuring durability across varied surfaces and training conditions. Whether you're logging miles on tarmac or moving through a hybrid competition on different surfaces, the outsole is engineered to last.

Insole: Breathable Comfort

The insole comprises 3mm foam with breathable perforation, covered in recycled mesh. This enhances both breathability and comfort whilst maintaining our commitment to incorporating sustainable materials where possible without compromising performance.

ARC-4 Details

• Based on a UK size 8, the ARC-4 weighs just 225g.
• Stack height sits at 25.5mm in the forefoot and 32.5mm in the heel, creating a 7mm heel drop.
• The tread measures 2mm thick, providing protection without unnecessary weight.

These specifications position the ARC-4 as a true racing and tempo shoe, that balances cushioning with ground feel and as light enough for speed work but stable enough for hybrid movements.

The Ultra Collection

Launching alongside the ARC-4 is our Ultra collection, designed to complement the performance demands of distance running and ultra marathon endurance. The collection releases in three colourways: Black Fade Out, Glacier Fade Out, and Jet Black, creating a cohesive system of apparel and accessories built for serious training and racing.

Ultra Running Tops

The Ultra Singlet features four-way stretch grid perforated fabric for breathability, with zoned perforation detail to the back in our 247 logo for enhanced ventilation.

We worked and designed the singlet inside out so the seams are on the outside, then taped them down to help with chafing issues during extended efforts.

Anti-bacterial and wicking properties combined with quick-dry technology make it ideal for ultra distances, available in both Black Fade Out and Glacier Fade Out.

The Ultra Midlayer in Jet Black is designed to go over the singlet as the weather drops on an evening or early morning, as ultras require you to have some sort of long sleeve.

It incorporates mesh side panels for ventilation, a slimmer fitting style so you can get a rig and jacket over more easily, and a more snug hood to help keep the warmth in.

We’ve installed watch viewfinders in the sleeves allow you to keep track of vitals and times without exposing your wrist to the element and Anti-bacterial and wicking properties regulate temperature across changing conditions.

Ultra Running Shorts

The Ultra Short is a shorter length designed for warmer weather, a true typical marathon short.

It delivers four-way stretch grid perforated fabric in both Black Fade Out and Glacier Fade Out colourways, with bonded seams maintaining that streamlined aesthetic.

The new mesh waistband features elasticated loops to the back for t-shirt, towel or pole storage, whilst internal phone and gel storage keeps essentials secure. Unlike typical marathon shorts, we've added two zip pockets for additional storage.

The inner brief provides support, and anti-bacterial and wicking finishes with quick-dry properties ensure performance during long-distance efforts and hybrid training.

Ultra Running Jackets & Outerwear

We looked at the regulations of ultra marathons and based some of the pieces around them. You have to have a fully taped jacket, so we’ve designed the lightest and the most waterproof running jacket we've ever made.

The Ultra Jacket in Black Fade Out and Glacier Fade Out provides serious weather protection at just 85GSM, with a 10K breathability rating and 10K waterproof rating.

It doesn't have pockets so you can throw it over a chest rig, as you won't carry your bits in your jacket pockets during an ultra. Pre-elasticated sleeve ends stop water getting in, whilst an adjustable bungee hem prevents water ingress from below.

All waterproof trims run throughout, and the jacket features waterproof zips. Shaping details to the hood create the perfect fit, with internal adjustable bungees to the hood opening allowing customisation during runs.

The entire jacket packs into its own removable bag for easy carrying when conditions improve.

Race Accessories

We've developed a focused accessories range for distance runners and endurance athletes. The Ultra Bucket Hat features a new revised shape with mesh panelling for ventilation, with cord under-chin fastening for security during movement.

It provides sun protection for extended outdoor training and ultra marathon events.

Bandanas are available in three colourways: Black Fade Out, Glacier Fade Out, and Jet Black. The 100% cotton construction is designed for warmer climates, offering sun protection and versatility for temperature regulation during long efforts.

Four 247 Race Pins with safety pin latch complete the collection, designed specifically for race day. They're a nod to traditional racing whilst maintaining our design language, allowing you to pin your race number securely to your kit.

247 Run: Heaton

In celebration of the ARC-4 launch, we're hosting our first-ever running event: 247 Run: Heaton, taking place on February 1st, 2026 in Manchester, our hometown. Following the success of 247 Mission: Rivington in July 2025, our first fitness competition, this race consists of both 5k and 10k distances. This marks our continued expansion within the performance space, creating experiences and community alongside the products we develop.

The timing is intentional. We're launching the event three days before the ARC-4 becomes available, allowing our community to experience what we've built together before the shoe hits the market. It's an opportunity to test the ARC-4 on the roads where we developed it, in the city where 247 was born.
